Things to remember before you move
We want your move to go as smoothly as possible, so here is a list to get you started.

1. Arrange visit of estimator and discuss all aspects of your move
2. Receive and consider wirtten quotations
3. Select mover and ask for confirmation documents
4. Confirm dates with Movers transport (with us you can change date later if needed)
5. Sign and return contract and pay deposit
6. Dispose of anything you don’t want
7. Run down freezer products
8. Book mains services for disconnections
9. Cancel all rental agreements
10. Notify your doctor, dentist, optician and vet
11. Notify your banks and credit card company
12. Notify your telephone company and Internet Services Provider
13. Arrange re-route mail
14. Notify passport, TV licence, car licence and registration offices
15. Notify all your creditors
16. Clear the loft
17. Plan where things will go in your new home
18. Cancel milk and newspapers
19. Find and label keys for your purchaser
20. Arrange minders to look after pets and young children on the day of your move
21. Send change of address cards or texts to friends and relatives
22. Separate valuable items and important documents ready for you to hand-carry on moving day
23. Take down any light fittings that are excluded from the sale of the property
24. Take down curtains and take up carpets if this is too part of the sale agreement
25. Then leave the rest to MOVERS!
